What is your low cost fixed hourly CAD rate?

As with the majority of outsourcing companies we do not publish hourly rates on the internet. Our rate is fixed with no hidden costs for all drawing disciplines. Please contact us for our low cost fixed hourly rate via our Contact page.

Can I have a sample price quote?

Yes of course. If you would like to email us some sample drawings/mark ups we can send you a no obligation price quote no problem. We can even setup a temporary area on our FTP site for you to upload the drawings if you like.

What is the turnaround time for packages?

We can usually complete CAD drawings packages within 24 hours. However, sometimes 48 hours is required if the package is quite large or if drawings cannot be split between draftsmen.

How can I be sure of quality?

We have rigid in-house quality procedures, managed by our Q.A Manager, ensuring that nothing leaves our office until it has been thoroughly checked by our Senior CAD Technicians and CAD Managers.

What about Client Confidentiality?

We are committed to the security and confidentiality of the information that you share with us. We ensure we will never use your company name, drawings or project names on our website, within marketing literature or to other Clients.

How can we communicate effectively?

The majority of communication can be done successfully with emails. However, if there are any urgent queries we will contact you immediately by telephone. Many of our client's are using Skype on a daily basis too, enabling free or low cost communication with the added benefit of video and desktop sharing if required. In addition, all key members of staff use Blackberry phones, this enables email contact to be maintained outside of office hours.

How robust is your I.T Infrastructure?

Based in Globe Telecom Tower we have a primary high speed broadband connection. In the unlikely event of internet outage we have 2 No. additional internet connections with separate service providers. This redundancy provides a safeguard ensuring uptime 24/7.

Our FTP site is powered by Dell PowerEdge servers complete with Uninterruptible Power Supplies and a Generator Backup.

Our HP ProLiant File Servers and all Networked Computers are also protected from power outage with instantaneous Generator Backup.

All drawing files are backed up daily including an offsite cloud backup. We keep your drawings backed up for a minimum of 12 months.

How do I prepare drawings packages?

Simply scan the drawings/mark ups in pdf or jpg format. Then zip them up with the necessary electronic CAD files & an OrbitCAD briefing sheet containing additional instructions.

How do I send drawings packages to you?

We have our own secure and reliable FTP site. With this, you can logon to your own private area using Windows Explorer or free software (see our Help page for software download). Once logged on you can simply upload and download files dragging and dropping as if we were situated in your own office.

Do you have any outsourcing procedures I can read?

Yes, we have an OrbitCAD procedures document we can email to you upon request. This contains all the useful information you will require, including FTP site guidance, preparing drawings packages, useful time saving tips for engineer's marking of drawings, upload checklist and an OrbitCAD briefing sheet.
